The master cleanse diet is most effective when those who use it learn all there is to know about it first.  It’s hard to get what you want out of a program if due diligence hasn’t been gone over first, all aspects should be understood.  Intended to cleanse the body of toxins left behind from foods and other stuff you might have ingested, this diet which is also referred to as the lemon cleanse, is a popular one by far.  It’s a detox program that in essence should work to get rid of things you’ve taken into your body at some point but have not expelled yet.

The detox is supposed to be so effective that it can actually stop cravings when it comes to drugs and alcohol too.  This along with the impact it has on the waistline is the reason the master cleanse diet is so popular today.  Although some wonder if the diet is as safe as it is effective, it doesn’t stop the majority from trying the program.   Drinking nothing but fluids made up of fruits and vegetables is the basis of the program.  Usually lasting up to 10 days, the diet has been used for much longer, even up to 90 days in order to achieve desired weight loss results.
