There is a huge problem with the phone records law of today.  The last thing you think about when you make or take phone calls is that someone could trace these calls back to you in the future.  You should be able to feel comfortable and not have to worry about someone tracing calls back to you in the future.  Unfortunately in today’s world that is just not how things work.

There are different phone records law and regulations that are set in place but that does not mean that everyone follows them.  There are so many issues these days with phone records laws being broken and people’s privacy being invaded.  There are certain situations in which this is more than just a nuisance it can actually be dangerous.  For instance if someone was harassing you and got your phone records, they could find out information that they should not be able to.

Let’s say that you were being harassed and your stalker obtained your phone records this could be potentially life threatening even because they would have important information on you.  They could learn everything from who you are dating to whether you see a psychiatrist.  This is the last person you want to have finding out this sort of information about you.  Undercover police officers have also been having a really rough time with this lately.

Policemen often have to go undercover and if the bad guys were ever to find out who they really were, their life is at stake.  Often police officers have to go undercover to get the evidence they need against criminals to capture them and put them away.  Unfortunately the bad guys could be able to access their phone records and using these may be able to find out who they really are.  Most people are alarmed to find out just how easy it is to obtain someone else’s phone records.

You could just be a regular Joe and as long as you have a credit card and a couple hundred bucks to burn you can get all the information you want.  There are online private investigator and other companies such as LocateCell.com that you can turn to for this.  This is definitely not reassuring and makes us all feel a lot different from now on when we go to use our phone.  The hope is that in the near future the phone records law will be strengthened so that criminals who do this will be put behind bars for a long time.
