Most women want to have children eventually and have a family.  There are some women who have difficulties conceiving and who wonder why can’t I get pregnant?  This can cause a lot of stress on the relationship and even result in the woman becoming depressed.  There are a few possibilities as to why the woman is not able to conceive.

One of the most likely reasons a woman can’t get pregnant is that she and her partner are trying at the wrong times.  A woman must know when she’s ovulating if she wants to stand the best chances of getting pregnant.  Of course there are those people who seem to have intercourse just a few times and end up pregnant, but for most women they must be right on track and having sex the exact times of ovulation.  It can be a bit challenging for women to determine when they’re ovulating, as the cycle can be so different from one woman to the next.

The average woman has a cycle that lasts 28 days which means that around the 28 day mark she will be ovulating.  Most women ovulate about two weeks after menstruation but there are some women who have an irregular cycle and they usually find it quite difficult to conceive.  The problem is that there are so many women who don’t have a regular cycle and so it can be next to impossible for them to determine when they’re ovulating.  For any women who are wondering why can’t I get pregnant, if you’re having difficulties conceiving and aren’t able to figure out your cycle you should get in and talk to your doctor.

Smoking is another common cause of infertility.  If you have any unhealthy habits such as smoking, this could be the source of your problem.  You should plan to kick the habit anyway if you’re trying to conceive.  Not only that, but if you’re trying to have a baby you should kick these habits first anyway.

When you’re young in your twenties you’re extremely fertile and your fertility starts to decrease as you get older.  By the time a woman hits the age of thirty, the number of eggs in her body has dropped by at least half and so it’s going to be that much more challenging for her to get pregnant.  When a woman wonders why can’t I get pregnant she can feel very angry and depressed.  Fortunately for most fertility problems there are solutions with the advanced technology available to us today.
