If you’re educated on fertility then you surely know that there are some strange ways women can get pregnant.  As soon as a woman has started her menstrual cycle she’s fertile and can get pregnant.  The odds of a woman getting pregnant without actually having intercourse are very slim but it can happen.  There are a lot of people who wonder can you get pregnant without intercourse.

This is a very unusual circumstance but again there is a possibility that yes you could get pregnant without ever actually having intercourse.  Once a woman’s menstrual cycle has begun, she is fertile and able to get pregnant.  For instance if a couple were to make out and the man ejaculated on the woman’s vagina, sperm could make its way in especially if the woman didn’t wash off right away.  Or a man could have sperm on his fingers and put them in the woman’s vagina and they could make their way up to the cervix and fertilize an egg.

It’s important not only for women but couples in general to understand that it doesn’t necessarily take intercourse to make a baby.  However there are some women that are extremely fertile.  If a woman is going to be physical with a man at all it’s important they are using a reliable form of birth control.  There are various methods of birth control that are available today.

There are other conditions that can cause similar symptoms.  It’s almost impossible for a man to determine exactly when he’s going to ejaculate and then pull out in time before any of the sperm are released.  For one thing, the chances of pulling out at the right time and preventing any ejaculation into the vagina are slim to none.  This can be enough to get a woman pregnant.

Men can use condoms which are over ninety percent effective, while the most popular form of birth control for women is the pill.  There is also the IUD or intrauterine device which is inserted into the cervix through the vagina.  The IUD is considered as being the best long-term form of birth control.  The IUD lasts for up to five years and only one out of one hundred women will have an accidental pregnancy with an IUD inserted.
