From the rainbow of paint colors available it can certainly be hard to decide on just one. There is one that is very popular today however and that is Garden Hedge paint. This is a great paint whether used alone or in combination with another color. There are just a few steps that will need to be taken before Garden Hedge paint can be applied to the walls.

The first step is to decide whether or not the walls are going to need primer.A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that all walls need primer before painting when this is actually not the case. The only time that primer is really needed is if the walls are very rough or if the color is so dark or bright that it is possibly going to bleed through and show through the paint color. There are some great primers available if needed and there are even some which are two in one paint and primer so there is no need to have to worry about that extra step.

If primer is needed it must be applied and set to dry before the paint can be applied.A lot of people mistakenly think that painter’s tape is needed to tape up all around the walls and baseboards but this is not true.Tape just causes issues all around and so even though a lot of people are used to it they should really avoid using it.An edging tool will help out here and as long as there is no rushing the paint should go on fine without too many blotches on the ceiling.

Then there is the debate over how to paint the walls and which method is going to make the walls turn out better. The most common ways are to brush up and down and then others go back and forth and all around on the walls because they think this will keep from getting lines. This way there are not going to be any noticeable marks in between such as a halfway line around the walls from painting the top half first and then the bottom. They way to get the best coat of paint is to apply up and down in large strokes with a roller all the way from the top to the bottom and leave just a bit of space in between so the brush can be used to get in these tight areas.

As with most other colors of pain Garden Hedge paint typically takes about two coats for the best results. It is a very nice color and is dark but energetic at the same time.It is great for any room of the home and with the right furniture and accessories in the room it will be splendid. It goes well in most rooms and is a rich and beautiful color.
