You may be a teacher working at a school or have children of your own but no matter what the case may be, it is important to find games that you can use to teach the children.  Children almost forget they are learning when they are having fun and the best way to do that is by using games.  If they are bored and annoyed when they are learning new things they are going to get frustrated. This is a great way for teachers to spend their time during a recess break to think of new games for the day.

There are a few sites in particular that are worth checking out if you want to find board math games. One is the Educational Learning Games site. You can either take down the ideas and then use them in the classroom or if you are working with older children you can even have them work right on the computer. Most schools these days have computers in the schools for the children to use.

Kids tend to be more interested in playing games on computers anyway so this is more likely to peak their interest.  Kids always have a great time playing store and that is the purpose to this game.  It helps them with addition, subtraction and budgeting which can be a hugely important skill when they are older and need to take care of finances.  There is also the Fun Brain site where there are a lot of arcade games featured.

They have more arcade games featured here than anything and that includes games like Mummy Hunt, Bumble Numbers and Ball Hogs.  For parents who want to print off a game that the whole family can play, you can go through the Dr Mikes Math Games For Kids site. Their games are always lots of fun and ensure that kids get lots of mental arithmetic practice.  They help younger children develop a sense of numbers and to begin understand mathematic concepts and how they work.

If you wanted to buy some games to take home and use with your kids you could head to an online marketplace like Amazon.  Or you could be really creative and come up with some of your own ideas for games. They offer a selection of nearly one hundred different math games for children of all ages.  The same goes for a game like Trivial Pursuit where you could just replace the questions for math-related questions and this will help the children improve their math skills.
